Join Eliana’s Light for a conversation with practitioners and members of our community on “From Policy to Psychology – How Immigration Actions and News Affect the Health and Mental Well-Being of Latino Families”. The Clinical & Translational Science Institute, of which Eliana’s Light is a member of its Community Advisory Board, is organizing this opportunity to exchange and learn.

The featured speakers are: Lanre O. Falusi, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Medical Director for Municipal and Regional Affairs at the Child Health Advocacy Institute of Children’s National Health System and Kathleen Roche, MSW, PhD, an Associate Professor at the George Washington University Milken School of Public Health with a focus on Latino families. Drs. Falusi and Roche will discuss the latest research on how immigration news and actions impact the health and well-being of Latina/o youth and families. A community member will join Drs. Falusi and Roche to discuss the importance of this research to the immigrant community.
