Eliana's Light is collaborating with Hope Grows, a PA-based non-profit that will be leading a pilot online support group for caregivers of children who have complex medical conditions. The following are details you're welcome to share with any caregiver you know and think may be interested:
Support Group for Caregivers ~ Online
This 4-week online pilot program offers current caregivers the opportunity to share their stories with other caregivers. The goal of this group is to provide an atmosphere that is favorable to the already busy and overwhelmed day of providing care. This online environment addresses topics of self-care, stress, and coping. Facilitated by a masters-level counselor, this Hope Grows online group will bring support and comfort right into your home.Guidelines
Must be a current caregiverMust have a computer with internet service, camera and microphone (preferred to be in a private area unless individual uses headset)Must be willing to provide address, email, birthdate, phone number, and create an online account (access and login information will be provided)Must be available for 3 of the 4 sessionsBe willing to take an online pre- and post- assessment to measure caregiver stress and coping.Sign a privacy agreement stating you will adhere to the group guideline and privacy of all group participants
Hope Grows has not yet determined what day or time this group will occur. This will happen once we establish sufficient interest.
