Give A Boost to Moms for Mother's Day

Between late Feb. and early May, we collaboratively collect gifts that local businesses, organizations, and individuals want to donate to moms who need to spend Mother’s Day in a local pediatric medical facility in order to care for her child who will be there due to her/his complex medical condition. Eliana’s Light combines all the gifts into gift bags that we deliver to our partner medical facilities: Children’s National Medical Center, The Children’s Inn at NIH, HSC’s Pediatric Center, The Kennedy Krieger Institute, John’s Hopkins’ Children’s Center, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, Medstar Washington Hospital Center, and Inova Children’s Hospital.

We hope you can join us in this effort! If you are a local business that sells a wellness-related item (e.g. teas) or provides a wellness-related service (e.g. massage), please let us know if you can make a donation to this effort. We’re always excited to partner with local businesses that want to make a positive impact in the community in which they work.

If you are a member of our community, and would like to help us find local businesses that would like to contribute and/or make the packages for moms, please contact us. We're seeking donations of gift certificates in $10 denominations to places like Starbucks, Dunkin', Panera, Chipotle, Cava, Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens; and also gas stations that have locations close to the participating medical centers in DC, MD, and VA. We also welcome toiletries, donations of organic dried lavender flowers we can use for making sachets, foot massage rollers, and similar self-care items moms may use. We'll then use them to fill 600 total gift bags.

Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to collaborating with you!

Please email info@elianaslight.org to let us know your interest.

We’re so grateful to the individuals and businesses that have already confirmed their collaboration. We’d like to especially highlight Metro Offices, Beltway Bambinos, Fit4Mom of Montgomery County, and the Art of Living Foundation. We’ll update this page regularly!
